My guest on this episode of the Barbells & Brothers podcast is William Allen. William is an author of two books about being a highly sensitive man. He also has a blog called The Sensitive Man.

William’s mission is to shed more light on highly sensitive males and the much-needed role they can fill in our society.

It is estimated that about twenty percent of the world's population is made up of individuals with the Highly Sensitive personality trait.  About half of that group is comprised of males. That's about 500-700 million men.

Many if not most of those men know that they are different, but don't know about the personality trait. William's goal is to share with these men about how they can see the trait as a gift and needed right now in our time.

He wants to give you, regardless of your station in life, the tools and opportunity to empower yourself, transform your life, and draw peace, joy, love, and prosperity into your personal situation and environment. He also lost a job because he continually avoided conflict with an upset boss. But getting fired was the wake-up call he needed. He had to adapt and improve as a leader, which meant engaging the conflict he disliked so much. His ongoing struggle with conflict became a fascination. Now, he helps others take on the same challenges.

In my latest episode of the Barbells & Brothers podcast I share what I have learned from my 30 days in the desert through the art of practicing not-doing.

I also talk about the importance of tapping into our own circadian rhythm for sleep and a natural rhythm for eating and any other healthy habits we are working on creating in our life.

If you are struggling with busyness, you won't want to miss this episode. My hope is that this podcast will inspire you to start practicing the art of not-doing.

In this podcast I share a vision and dream I have for our world to have peace by cultivating inner peace in our own personal lives.

I envision a movement of men coming together called Spiritual Warriors Unite where all hearts beat as one.  A spiritual warrior is someone who is willing to take a deep introspective journey for a cause greater than themselves.

Spiritual Warriors Unite is a group of men who show up with brotherly love who are non-conformists.  We are rebels for good.  We stand united in righteous anger for what isn't working in the world and we do something about it with kindness, compassion and love.

I want to invite you to be part of something bigger than yourself.  I see a possibility where we can make a difference in the world when a group of men come together united as spiritual warriors where all hearts beat as one.

You can join the Spiritual Warriors Unite Facebook group here

Getting vaccinated has been a polarizing topic as of late.  In my latest episode of the Barbells & Brothers podcast I share my thoughts on why I am choosing to get vaccinated after a great deal of self-reflection.

So much of our world is defined through competition and having to prove ourselves. A big topic of conversation is Simone Biles pulling out of Olympic competition.

In this episode of my Barbells & Brothers podcast I share my story of how the majority of my life has been defined by having to prove myself through competition as a means of self-worth.

The truth is that we all have the podium inside of us with a gold medal hanging around our neck because we are all children of God with nothing to prove and nothing to earn.
